Opening Reception:
September 25th, 6PM to 9PM

On Exhibit September
25th to November 6th

Since 1996 I have been  documenting  “incidental” works of art.  These works are created outside of the traditional museum/gallery context by unwitting collaborators who produce marks, arrangements of objects, sounds, or situations that can be formally or conceptually tied to the artistic production of various historical avant-garde movements. I document the work of these anonymous agents by capturing their compositions within the spaces of my everyday life.

#incidentalart is one manifestation of this larger conceptual project – a stream of images from my daily commute are captured, edited and uploaded to Instagram with the hashtag #incidentalart.

"I realized that Koek's pictures have become part of my visual memory of New York City. That is a little strange, since it is not limited to my own memories, but includes Koek's way of portraying the city. Viewing his images has the same effect as coming to the city for the first time, yet somehow recognizing the places, buildings, characters and sights. This city is very much a part of our collective memories, memories that Koek keeps vivid, evolving and alive with his indelible images."

Opening Reception: Thursday, May 5th 6-9pm

May 5th - June 5th, 2016

"Colored Smoke" by David Sena is a new collection of large scale works on paper utilizing smoke to create color, organic and geometric compositions.  These new pieces which vibrate off the page with intense energy are a departure from his former monochromatic drawings. Sena brings bright, saturated colors into his Fire Drawings without introducing new mediums, while still continuing to develop his innovative pyrotechnic technique.
